Circa 1970s Sinclair pipe chanter, ivory sole
The Edinburgh firm of William Sinclair and Son made one of the premier pipe chanters on the market for decades. Unlike other older chanters, they have well stood the test of time and still go well with today’s reeds. This circa 1970s Sinclair chanter is in excellent condition, uncarved. The holes are nicely worn from use and the chanter feels great under the hands. This chanter pitches in the low to mid-470s. The sole is ivory. Seems to reed well with the Chesney Warnock copper staple.
