The Duncan MacRae, African Blackwood

Designed and tested by Stuart Liddell and manufactured by McCallum Bagpipes, this chanter takes its appearance from an original Duncan MacRae chanter, though specs have been altered to suit the modern pitch. It pitches in the low to mid-480s, a pitch favoured by bands and soloists. Already some top players are playing it, including Stuart Liddell.
